Privacy Policy

Zen Tabz is built to be private by default. The extension does not require an account, and it does not collect, store, or transmit personal data, browsing history, or tab content unless you choose to use cloud sync. This website, however, uses the analytics and advertising tools described below.

Data Collection

By default, all tab management happens entirely locally within your browser. No information is sent to external servers or third parties. The extension operates with minimal permissions, only those required to read and organize your tabs.

Storage

Workspace configurations and tab groupings are stored locally using Chrome's storage API. By default, this data never leaves your device.

Cloud Sync (Optional)

Zen Tabz offers optional cloud sync so you can access your collections on more than one device. When enabled, only the collections you choose are synced, and the data is encrypted during transfer and storage. Cloud sync is off by default — your tabs stay in your browser until you turn it on.

Analytics & Advertising

This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our pages, and the Meta Pixel (Facebook) to measure the performance of our advertising. These tools may set cookies and collect information such as your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, and the site you arrived from. This data is processed by Google and Meta under their own privacy policies; it is separate from the extension and does not include your saved tabs or browsing history.

You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on and manage Meta advertising preferences in your Facebook ad settings. You can also block cookies in your browser settings.

Third Parties

Other than the analytics and advertising tools above, the website does not share your data with third parties. The Zen Tabz extension itself integrates with no analytics services, tracking scripts, or advertising networks, and it contains no ads and no data mining. The only time your tab data leaves your device is when you opt in to cloud sync as described above.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here. Continued use of the extension constitutes acceptance of any changes.
